Through look, alike bubbles and ballons, cartoons and Champagne were destined to meet some day. The objective was achieved thanks to Christopher Cazenove, Hervé Richez (scenario) and Olivier Saive (drawing), who played fully with this comic the card of sparkling humour. They alternate crude humour (ex: Champagne in a font where the protagonists pretend to baptize a baby by bursting a bottle, the traditional way for boats!) with the well-known clichés about champagne (ex. the spoon in the bottleneck supposed to prevent gas from escaping) and engraved with marc… euh, in marble anecdotes or historic short stories.
The set is consistent, just like Saive's drawing with the caricatural aspect of the serie quite respected. It makes us smile from time to time, and often laugh, a rather welcome move in this time of economic gloom!
As a bonus, there is an additional 1O pages file to supply more information about Champagne.

On a subject where repetition and wear could rightly have been feared, the trio of authors were able to instill in this volume dedicated to champagne a true humorous freshness doubled with some notions added. Fans of cartoon balloons (and Champagne bubbles!) will surely appreciate. Good marks!
